The elite guards were members - often females - of the secret organization called Ghost Cell during the Cold War. They were experienced melee fighters and prefered electroblades in combat. Two of the elites were protecting the Old Man at the organization's main base on the planet Tatooine. Despite their skills and training, they were both killed when Imperial Intelligence agent Cipher Nine infiltrated their base with a task to eliminate the organization.
